Did you know here in
Massachusetts we will be able to see 90% of the total solar eclipse on Monday,
April 8, starting at 2 pm? Don't forget to wear solar viewing protection if
you want to watch it.
Don't have eclipse
glasses? Visit the Earth & Space Open Day in the River Center on April 6,
and be entered to win a solar viewing panel.
It is also your chance to learn more about solar eclipses and
the connection between climate, animals, earth and space. There will be
exhibits and hands-on activities for the whole family!
***Special Open Days During School

Thursday, April 18 and Friday,
April 19 10am - 2pm at the River Center
During these special open days we will celebrate Earth Day and
Citizen Science Month(April). There will be hands-on activities, crafts,
exhibits on local animals, and how you can help them. As always, the digital
sand table and high powered microscope will be available. Bring an item from
home to see it magnified! Learn how you can help scientists right from home
too.

Beach Applications are now available online here: https://epay.cityhallsystems.com/selection
From the Beach Committee: Thank you for your patience as we roll out our
new system and work through any minor issues. Although paper applications are
available at the Town Clerk's office, we encourage you to try the new system
using either your computer or smartphone. An abundance of paper applications
will increase the beach permit turnover time overall. The Library and the Council on Aging have also offered their services to
residents who would like some assistance with the process.
Westport offers several
lovely beaches for resident and non-resident property owners to
enjoy.
Cherry & Webb and
East Beach. Plus the Knubble and Baby
Beach offer Handicap Access. For more info on the

Parking permits are required
at all beach locations which can be obtained through The Beach Committee. Check

*Did you know you can get a Lifetime MA Senior Parking Pass only $10.
Senior Parking Passes now available online! Massachusetts
residents aged 62 or older are eligible for a discounted lifetime parking pass.
This pass covers the cost of parking at most state parks. Including Horseneck
Beach ! which is much shorter to walk to than the Town Beach and is not crowded
during the week.

a desktop computer or any web-enabled device. To be eligible for a Senior
Parking Pass:
• Patrons must be 62 years of age or older.
