Should You Refrigerate Tomatoes? Here’s the Short Answer from Seriouseats.com
If Your Tomatoes Have Never Been Refrigerated ( if you grew them yourself or bought them from a farmers market stand in season):
Remove the stems and store unripe tomatoes upside down on a plate or cutting board at room temperature until they fully ripen.
Consume fully ripened tomatoes immediately.
Refrigerate any unconsumed fully ripe tomatoes, but allow them to come to room temperature before serving them.
If Your Tomatoes Have Been Refrigerated ( if you got them anywhere other than your backyard or the farmers market, in season):
Leave them at room temperature until fully ripe, then store them in the refrigerator until ready to use.

We are on a quest to taste test the Best!
Wondering who has the best Lobster Rolls in Westport ?  ( and what they cost! )
Bayside Restaurant 1253 Horseneck Rd, Westport, MA was our Taste test # 2 on  6/25/24
We had to try their Award Winning Lobster Rolls Voted by Food & Wine as one of the best in America. Wow thats quite an honor to live up to. Bayside's Lobster Roll was market price, cost was $34. and came with fries or cole slaw.
We gave it 4.5 stars out of 5 ! It seemed larger and juicier than Westport Sea Farms (which we gave 4 stars and cost $25. and was served with chips.)

taste test and tell you. Let me know Your favorite place for Lobster Rolls that way I can sample more!
I will update the Blog as I enjoy more Lobster Rolls this summer. Off to Village Pizza and Ice Cream to try
their lobster Rolls ?? Many people on my Facebook page said they are the best in town!

Fireworks, Parades, Parties: Celebrate 4th of July Thursday Around Westport, Fall River, New Bedford, Somerset, Freetown, Fairhaven, Taunton and the South Coast Area- ( tickets to the Battleship fireworks are sold out)
There will be parades and fireworks, Road races, a carnival, and even a car race and a horse show.

-Lavender Days Event by Stone Pony Gardens 171 Pine Hill Rd, Westport, MA
Come play with us in the lavender fields and smell the flowers in our gardens
July 5th, 6th and 7th from 10-2. Parking is at the Westport Fairgrounds.
Pick your own or purchase pre-picked bundles.
They will have lavender soap, spray, scrub, lots of lavender plants for sale and many other items.
Open Gate Farm will be joining us with their amazing succulent arrangements.

-Family Day Event by Little Compton Historical Society 548 W Main Rd, Little Compton, RI,
Family Day is free and open to the public. It is one way we thank our community for their support all throughout the year. The Little Compton Historical Society invites you to join us on Saturday, July 6 from 12 - 4 PM.
There will be FREE Wilbor House Tours, Special Exhibition Tours, Refreshments, Children's Activities (including "Make Your Own Street Sign", Old-Fashioned Contests: Seed Spitting, and Skillet Throw.

-THE EAGLES EXPERIENCE aims to be the most authentic tribute show to the Eagles available today. The band will perform a FREE concert on the meadow at Heritage State Park on July 22 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The evening will feature a raffle as well as other surprises. Food Trucks will be available on site during the concert. In case of rain, the concert will take place on Tuesday, July 23 at 6:00 p.m.
